The Carolina Panthers weren’t able to complete their dream season, ultimately landing at 15-1 thanks to a loss to the Falcons in Week 16, but they’ve given us a season full of hilarious and quirky moments that we’ll be looking at for years to come. Add this to that list.
In some exceptionally clear game footage, Cam Newton walks up to the line of scrimmage and calls an audible play, “Even Janitor!,” that didn’t sound like a real play to one of the Panthers’ offensive lineman, who quickly retorted, “Is that real?”
Now, it should be noted, that sometimes, quarterbacks call out random phrases all the time to confuse defenses that might be trying to steal signals, and “even janitor” could very much be a real play, and the offensive lineman was just clarifying whether or not they were actually running that play, or pump-faking.
