We may have been treated to more Gilbert Arenas antics post-retirement than we were while he was still in the league, which is quite remarkable.
Agent Zero has a new request, and it thankfully doesn’t involve WNBA players playing in thongs. The former Washington Wizard and All-Star would like to sign a 10-day contract with the Los Angeles Lakers so he can sit courtside during Kobe Bryant‘s final home game at the Staples Center, which will likely be one of the hotly-coveted tickets in regular season Lakers history.
Naturally, Arenas came to this conclusion after trying to purchase courtside tickets of his own and striking out, and alluding to the fact that less worthy players like Roy Hibbert and Nick Young get to sit on the Lakers bench and watch history unfold. Chances are, neither Jeanie Buss nor Mitch Kupchak is signing off on this, but if there’s anyone that exemplifies the “you won’t know until you try” rule, it’s Gilbert Arenas.
