Last night, T.I. announced a new record deal with Roc Nation, where his forthcoming tenth album, The Dime Trap, will be distributed. It will likely be a TIDAL exclusive initially, much like Rihanna’s ANTI and Kanye West‘s The Life of Pablo, considering the Atlanta rapper/actor also announced that he’s the newest and 19th artist-owner of Jay Z‘s scorching streaming service.
While Tip prepares his new LP, his first since 2014’s Paperwork, he’s delivered a visually stimulating new music video for his most recent single, “Money Talk,” which finds him bouncing, alliterating and dabbing to an up-tempo instrumental, a theme that’s been successful for Tip over the span of his lengthy career. It hasn’t been that long since he’s had a hit record–his Young Thug-featured “About The Money” was our Song of the Year in 2014–and with the Roc Nation engine behind him, another one could be right around the corner.
