Fashion Fridays: The Slayage That Is Louis Vuitton’s Fall 2016 Collection

Wrapping up an extended month of fashion presentations in Paris, Louis Vuitton‘s fall 2016 collection received one of the occasion’s best reviews. The French fashion house is currently under designer Nicolas Ghesquiere‘s creative direction. The season’s looks overall were more wearable yet modern and stylish.

The theatrical fashion show was a scenic underwater setup inspired by a lost Atlantis. British Vogue captured the runway show featuring clips of Ghesquiere himself, and celebrity guests like Jaden Smith and Selena Gomez. The full video can be viewed on

The new looks consisted of a range of different styles tying into one theme. There were a few sporty looks mixing jackets and sleeve-length striped sweaters. Along with the collection of midi dresses and silk tops that added a sensual side. The body conscious jackets zipped-front, with baggy tailored pants gave the final street-style edge. In all, the fashion combined with the runway set created Ghesquiere’s digital heroine Tomb Raider vision.
