Last night, around 8 p.m. in Miami, Tray Walker, a second-year cornerback for the Baltimore Ravens, got into a motorcycle accident after he slammed into a Ford Escape traveling Southbound on a Miami street. He was immediately rushed to nearby Jackson Memorial Hospital, and was in critical condition. Earlier today, his agent, Ron Butler, announced that his client was “fighting for his life” as he dealt with injuries stemming from the accident.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rappaport, Walker was pronounced dead at 5 p.m. ET, as per Butler. In a subsequent tweet, Rappaport revealed that Walker suffered “serious” head injuries, and reiterated that he’d spent much of the day “fighting for his life.”
