B.J. The Chicago Kid released his new album, In My Mind, last month, and as expected it was a warm, multi-faceted traditional R&B effort from the D’Angelo-esque mind and voice of one of the brightest talents in the genre (you can read more of our thoughts on the album here).
Today, he’s unleashed the music video for one of the album’s standouts, “The New Cupid,” which features Kendrick Lamar. Comedian Hannibal Buress makes a hilarious appearance, as does Bay Area rapper IAMSU!, and the quartet come together to deliver quite the appropriate visual, as “Cupid” takes the form of many unfortunate ideas and actions. Watch the clip above, and listen to In My Mind if you haven’t done so already.
