Pro Era rapper Kirk Knight hit his stride nicely towards the end of last year, releasing his full-length debut, Late Knight Special, following a nationwide tour with Chicago rapper Mick Jenkins. With cuts like “Brokeland,” “Knight Time” and “5 Minutes,” Kirk reminded the rap world why he’s as much a force to be reckoned with as any when it comes to emceeing, and the development of his production style was also evident.
This year, Kirk isn’t slowing up his roll, and to commemorate the culmination of a brief international trek, the Brooklyn native drops “Take That,” which he also produced. With Joey Bada$$ aggressively repelling body shots and Kirk dropping heat like this on the regular, Pro Era’s two-headed monster has gotten that much scarier.
