A$AP Ferg is releasing a new album, Always Strive And Prosper, later this month, on April 22, and we officially know the wide variety of guests that will grace Ferg’s sophomore LP, from Chuck D and Rick Ross to Missy Elliott and Skrillex. The Missy Elliott collaboration, which Ferg has been teasing for months and is understandably excited about, is produced by DJ Mustard, and is one of the more looked-forward to songs on the forthcoming LP.
A short while ago, Ferg teased the collaboration, called “Strive,” on his Twitter account, and there are a couple things that should immediately be noted. For one, this is yet another DJ Mustard instrumental that veers far from the patented bounce that a good chunk of his 2014 work resembled, joining his recent bangers, “Whole Lotta Lovin'” and Rihanna’s “Needed Me.” Also of note, this track appears to sample Alicia Myers’ classic “I Wanna Thank You,” which should be fun.
