We’re well into Spring, but Rihanna‘s continued dominance appears to only be picking up steam. The Bajan beauty released her 8th studio album, ANTI, and its hit lead single, “Work,” back in January, and since then, nothing has been the same. “Work” is currently enjoying a ninth consecutive week atop the Billboard Hot 100, a personal second-best for Rih Rih and a record-setting pace–she recently passed The Beatles for second on the all-time list of cumulative time artists have spent at #1–that doesn’t appear to be slowing up. All the while, ANTI, acclaimed by critics and fans alike as one of the most complete bodies of work in Rih’s catalog, is being performed on a consistently sold-out world tour, where Rihanna has brought out Drake–twice–and enjoyed some hilarious and viral moments of her own.
Though “Work” could soon be dethroned–our guess is either Meghan Trainor or a scorching Desiigner will get to her, potentially by the end of the month–ANTI is preparing another smash hit for the Navy to geek over. “Needed Me,” a sensual, flippant anthem produced by DJ Mustard, is currently rising steadily on the Hot 100 (it rose to #33 last week), and its about to get a pretty crazy music video, judging by the behind-the-scenes shots, which you can see below.

We first started getting sneak peeks of the video back in March, when Rihanna was spotted by paparazzi waltzing around an undisclosed Miami location brandishing a gun; it was revealed shortly after that she was shooting the video for a forthcoming single.
And for you 4/20 lovers out there, you’ll get the day’s first treat at noon, when the full video drops.
