Mike Woodson Tries To Fire Up DeAndre Jordan With A Surprise Light Punch To The Jaw

Coaches have various methods of firing up their players prior to or during a big game, Los Angeles Clippers assistant coach Mike Woodson keeps it very simple, a quick punch to the jaw. During last night’s Game 2 playoff matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers, Woodson approached DeAndre Jordan with some words of encouragement followed by a light punch to jaw which definitely caught the center by surprise. He didn’t seem to mind though, and perhaps it helped, considering that Jordan snagged 18 rebounds as the Clippers routed the Trail Blazers 102-81.
