How To Celebrate Earth Day 2016

Today [Friday, April 22] is Earth Day. Started in 1970, Earth Day celebrates the beauty of our planet, and encourages people to give back to the environment in many different ways.

The Earth Day Network describes its mission on their website as trying to:

“Broaden and diversify the environmental movement worldwide and to mobilize it as the most effective vehicle to build a healthy, sustainable environment, address climate change, and protect the Earth for future generations.”

Also today, the Paris Climate Agreement Signing Ceremony is taking place at the U.N., with over 150 world leaders signing their name on the agreement that seeks to slow global warming, and incentivize countries to invest in environmentally friendly markets in order to lower their carbon emissions.
