This week the Sacramento Kings unveiled their new logo, their first new logo since they adopted the crossed-spears insignia before the 1994-1995 season. The logo is certainly a fresher take on the Kings’ visual assets, but it pays homage to several of the team’s past logos, including their last Cincinnati Royals logo, which was only used in the 1971-1972 season (the team converted to the Kansas City/Omaha Kings the very next season).

Today, in celebration of the rebranding, the Kings are allowing fans to get the new logos tattooed for the welcomed price of $Free.99 at select area tattoo parlors.

The rebranding comes at a perfect time, considering the Kings have gotten rid of head coach George Karl, are moving into a new arena and could be returning star point guard Rajon Rondo to join DeMarcus Cousins in a 2016-2017 playoff hunt.
