Supported throughout Australia by a variety of talented locals including NFA of 1200 Techniques, Soul Elixr, Sarah Connor and more, the tour is shaping up as one to be remembered by local Hip Hop fans. Common’s last appearance down under was at the 2014 Soulfest Festival, and now he will also venture to the city of Adelaide for the first time.

Talib Kweli is a fan favourite here in Australia, and toured the country with Common (and Kanye West) back in 2006. Talib’s last appearance in Oz was in 2014, where his performance at Play Festival on New Year’s Day was second to none.

Both artists have been extremely busy since their last visit to Australia, with Common releasing his tenth studio album Nobody’s Smiling which proved to be his third number one album on the US R&B/Hip Hop Billboard Charts. Common has also featured in a variety of movies, including in the recently released Barbershop: The Next Cut. Talib Kweli released both P.O.C. Live! and the Gravitas’ album in 2014, and followed it up with two albums, F#ck the Money and Indie 500 with 9th Wonder in 2015. He also released the compilation Train of Thought: Lost Lyrics, Rare Releases + Beautiful B-Sides, Volume 1 last year.

The sustained body of work from both artists has kept their respective Australian fan bases demanding more tours, and are very excited about seeing these two legendary emcees share the stage.
