New York Teen Dies From Asthma Attack After Running From Racist Crew With A Gun

Earlier today [Friday, June 3], The New York Daily News reported Dayshen McKenzie, a 16-year old Black teenager from Staten Island, died last week from an asthma attack he suffered after running for his life.

Diane Fatigati, an ex-NYPD officer and 9/11 responder, rushed to the aid of Dayshen after he collapsed. She spoke with The New York Daily News and described the terrifying chase.

According to Ms. Fatigati, a group of mostly young white males were chasing after Dayshen in two cars, yelling racial epithets and threatening him with a gun. No arrests have been made in the week since his death.
