A few hours before Muhammad Ali’s death, Cavaliers star Lebron James told ESPN why the boxing legend was so important to the world of sports, referring to him as the G.O.A.T—meaning the “greatest of all time.”
“The reason why he’s the GOAT is not because of what he did in the ring, which was unbelievable, it’s what he did outside of the ring, what he believed in, what he stood for,” James said.
As the news broke on Friday [June 4] the boxing legend had died, the sports world took to social media to share their thoughts and impact Ali had on the world of sports.
