Rich Homie Quan Forgets Lyrics To Notorious B.I.G.’s “Get Money” Verse During VH1 Hip Hop Honors

Monday (July 11) was a big night for Hip Hop, especially the women who gave so much to this culture that we love. Lil Kim, Queen Latifah and Missy Elliot were among those who were spotlighted during VH1’s Hip Hop Honors. One of the highlights of the night was when honoree Lil Kim took the stage and flashed back to some of her biggest hits, bringing out the likes of Teyana Taylor, Lil Mama, French Montana and The LOX. Although a great moment, the medley performance also struck a chord with viewers due to Rich Homie Quan’s performance, or lack thereof.

While performing the Junior M.A.F.I.A. classic “Get Money,” Lil Kim brought out Rich Homie Quan to perform Notorious B.I.G.’s well known verse on the song. Decked out in a Coogi sweater a la Biggie, Rich Homie Quan proceed to forget the lyrics completely and opted to dance around while awkwardly adding ad-libs wherever he could. As you would imagine, social media nearly erupted with memes and commentary as the Atlanta rapper flubbed one of the most well known verses in rap history in front of a worldwide audience. Yikes!
