The classic brand has just received a breath of fresh air.
Designer Raf Simons has officially taken on a new title as the new chief creative officer for Calvin Klein. Previously designing for Dior along with his own brand under his namesake, Simons is taking on a new role that his new-found home brand is sure he can fulfill.
Impressed by his experience and innovative nature in the fashion world, Calvin Klein CEO Steve Shiffman believes, “Raf’s exceptional contributions have shaped and modernized fashion as we see it today and, under his direction, Calvin Klein will further solidify its position as a leading global lifestyle brand.”
The first to lead the legendary brand since Klein himself, Simons is replacing both the men’s and women’s creative directors in order to create a, “singular vision” creatively. Simons responsibilities will cover, “all aspects of Design, Global Marketing and Communications, and Visual Creative Services,” according to Klein.
The first collection under Simons for Calvin Klein will be the fall 2017 season.
