Joey Bada$$ has weathered the storm, and he’s here to celebrate coming out victorious in his new music video for “Devastated.” The Brooklyn rapper spent a good portion of the last few months settling a feud with Troy Ave and defending the legacy of fallen Pro Era rapper Capital STEEZ, and he even got into a bit of a scuffle outside Madison Square Garden following Kanye West‘s Pablo listening party. It was a rocky start to the year, but it could have been a lot worse, which is something Joey alludes to on the hook of his latest single.
Bada$$ quite literally rallies the troops in his new cut, as a reminder of how far he’s come, and how far he still plans to go. Hopefully, this means a new album is coming from Joey, who last dropped his debut album, B4.DA.$$, in January of 2015.
