Your television lineup is getting a lot more football courtesy of Arizona Cardinal Calais Campbell. But it won’t be a game on the screen, just a pro football player who can’t get a timeout from his family.
The defensive end is creating a comedy for CBS based on his own experiences, says The Hollywood Reporter. “The Whole Nine” will center around an athlete like himself whose family takes over the new crib in a gated community. So far, it sounds like a pigskin version of 2004 movie The Cookout — except this time, his family is moving in. Cue the dun, dun, dunnnnn’s.
Campbell, who is one of seven kids and has been in the NFL since 2008, serves as executive producer with Doug Banker. The NFL is in no way involved.
