Rae Sremmurd and Gucci Mane Go No. 1 on Billboard Hot 100 With “Black Beatles”

Rae Sremmurd have proved that they can make hit records. Arguably their biggest hit-to-date is “No Flex Zone.” Well, that was until they struck gold with another Mike WiLL Made-It-produced track. “Black Beatles” appears on the group’s [Swae Lee, Slim Jimmi] sophomore album, SremmLife 2. Featuring a stellar production from Mike WiLL, the two accelerate on the gas pedal with a Gucci Mane feature. It was enough to take their track to the top of the Billboard Hot 100.

Not only was it the song’s appeal, a little help from a fellow Beatle doesn’t hurt the prosperity of the song. Getting in on the Mannequin challenge, Paul McCartney got in on the action, showing off his still-life abilities. The song has also been popularized by Hilary Clinton.

The hit peaked on the 100 chart at no.9, but then quickly jumped into the no. 1 position. It’s a placement that neither Gucci Mane nor Rae Sremmurd has seen on this specific chart. With that being said, it just goes to show how vital Hip Hop is today.
