Kristi Toliver Sets New WNBA Record En Route To A Playoff Win For The Mystics

The Washington Mystics pulled off an impressive upset to advance to the next round of the WNBA playoffs thanks to the outstanding shooting of Kristi Toliver.

Last night, the Mystics was able to pull off the unthinkable and upset the Liberty in front of thousands of die hard fans at Madison Square Garden. Washington defeated New York 82-68 thanks to the hot shooting of Kristi Toliver. Starting off slow, Toliver eventually heated up and did something no other woman in the league was able to do. She set a new WNBA record for the most three pointers made in a single game with 9.

Now, if you were wondering how open she was to make that much threes, it wasn’t as clear shot attempts you would assume. Toliver was knocking down long range trifectas as they were plenty of plays where the defense was draped all over her. Check out the highlights below.
