This is a huge win for Gaga who says it was a lifelong dream to be a performer in Las Vegas. Now, the 31-year-old has realized her dream and earned a large check in the process.

Gaga also mentioned that she would have brand new shows for fans in Vegas. Gaga will start performing a year from now.

Some other artists who have done Las Vegas residencies include Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, The Backstreet Boys, and Mariah Carey. With Lady Gaga, this residency seems different due to the fact that Gaga can still generate major record sales.

The October 2016 release of Joanne gave the “Perfect illusion” artist her fourth number one album and has been certified Platinum by the RIAA. Gaga has been touring for this latest album but recently ended “Joanne Tour” concluded with a tribute to Gaga’s Aunt Joanne whom the album is titled after. The Gaga’s paternal aunt passed away from Lupus before the musician was born but she felt it appropriate to honor her with this album.
