The girl that stole our hearts with the braids and a beast on the piano, Alicia Keys, turns 37 today! Keys, born Alicia Aguello Cook, came on the scene in 2001 with her hit “Fallin.” Her debut album, Songs In A Minor, was released that same year and at the 2002 Grammy Awards, the album won her five Grammys.
To date, she has won 15 Grammys, co-founded the Keep A Child Alive organization for the fight against HIV/AIDS, is married to super producer Swizz Beatz with two children, and is a judge on NBC’s The Voice.
The songstress, who currently advocates for natural beauty, has blessed us with some hits and collaborations with Jay-Z and Eve, just to name a few. Check out five songs that bring us back to some real R&B, showcasing the talent that is Alicia Keys.
