Last night, January 29, was the premiere of the highly anticipated Marvel Studios film, Black Panther. Taking place at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, the first screening accumulated numerous positive reviews, and the purple carpet mirrored Wakanda royalty. The regal dress code inspired by traditional African attire, was seen in different forms on director Ryan Coogler and stars of the film, Chadwick Boseman, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Angela Bassett, and Danai Gurira.
Los Angeles Times writer Jen Yamato shared her thoughts on the film stating,
“’Black Panther’ is incredible, kinetic, purposeful. A superhero movie about why representation and identity matters, and how tragic it is when those things are denied to people.”
Other notable names including Donald Glover and Jemele Hill who also attended the premiere, shared high praise about the film.

Just got back from the Black Panther premiere and after party. You will see this movie five or six times. It is everything and then some.

BLACK PANTHER. Incredible. Real world building with Wakanda. Great mythology building around the Black Panther. Solid character development. Top notch action. Great narrative. Wonderful villain (rare for Marvel). Killer soundtrack. Fav MCU film since Civil War.
