Executive Hip-hop’ is a phrase coined by LA-based artist Chief CEO to describe his upscale, classy style of music. Like his stage name – which is supposed to make fans of hip-hop think of a higher-class of music – the term is one that he uses often to illustrate his desire to create refined hip-hop. His new single, “More of This,” is the perfect example of that kind of music, as is a new single called “So Amazing,” which he’s preparing to release this summer.
His single “More of This” is a love song to a woman through which he is basically telling her how much she brightens his day. She’s all he ever dreamed of and wants more of what she brings to the table. The song explores what it takes to get a relationship to a deeper level and how a healthy relationship between a man and a woman is when she makes him whole and is not an object.
“He shows this to her by the way he treats her, and she can’t help but want more of it,” Chief said. “That’s the gist of it and how it should be. What makes a relationship be amazing thing is when it’s done the right way it becomes more of a partnership and a love affair.”
