Chi-Town Rapper Argiel Drops ‘Savage’ From His ‘Black Forrest’ EP

Children often use different methods of communication to express themselves and vocalize their thoughts. For Chicago-based artist Argiel, his form of self-expression was through music, as he viewed it as some form of a diary. There were often things he didn’t feel comfortable telling people face to face, so he channeled this into an artistic form. Argiel grew up with the understanding or generalization that men are not supposed to show emotion. However, he broke away from this mold, and began transforming his thoughts into beautiful, thought-provoking rhymes.

On the heels of his EP release of “Black Forrest”, Argiel has been focused on delivering authenticity that showcases who he truly is as an artist. Since its release two weeks ago, the general consensus surrounding the project has been extremely positive. “Certain songs on this project were different, even for me,” said Argiel. “The tape as a whole, especially certain songs, was exactly what I wanted. So, it’s been very positive all around. Very, very positive.” In sticking true to himself, success has been bountiful for Argiel.

Argiel is quite the perfectionist, as he will review rhymes over and over again until they have the quality he strives for. Moving forward, he is committed to using his competitive nature for the overall betterment of his artistry and music in general. “I will be in the studio until three in the morning, knowing I have to be up at six. I want to be known for being the very best at what I do, and that comes with repetition, consistency and focus. I dedicate all of this to my craft, and that is what I want to be known for. I have a strong relationship with God, and everything I’ve done is because of him,” said the artist. We can’t wait to see the next round of unwavering heat that Argiel brings through his music.
