YS Lou’s Self-Produced “Demon” Showcases New Direction of Artistry

All the way from Florida, born in Cali, Colombia, is hip-hop artist YS Lou, who has been keeping the charts hot with his music. For him, music has always been a part of his life, as he remembers growing up around salsa music. After his mother enrolled him in different music lessons, he soon came to the realization that music was something he wanted to pursue long term. After migrating to the states, he dabbled in several different genres as he tried to figure out his footing. Soon before long, hip-hop became his everything and more.

After a decision was made to rebrand himself, YS Lou celebrated by releasing his latest song “Demon”. Since the song was his first official single after rebrand, he knew he had to come with the heat. “The single tells the story of who I am. In the beginning lines of a song, I’m addressing other rappers. It’s not negative per se. I’m just redirecting my energy in a positive way,” said the rapper. The rebrand was brought on in order for YS Lou to give himself a clean slate. The direction he takes musically is close to his core, so he did what was necessary to align his messaging with his artistry.

In terms of what’s next, the artist tells us that fans can expect consistency yet unpredictability at the same time. He’s focused on working harder than anyone he knows in an effort to produce quality projects. After his most recent project being completely self-produced, he is looking forward to his artistic ability and talent shining through in projects to come. Big things are coming for YS Lou, and there’s no doubt about it.
