On this date in 1999, Sean “Puffy” Combs and Jennifer Lopez were arrested after leaving the scene of a shooting at Club New York in Manhattan.
The district attorney decided not to charge actress/songstress Jennifer Lopez, but Puff and two others would accrue weapons charges after a stolen gun was found in their vehicle.
Jamal “Shyne” Barrow, who was arrested for the shooting inside the club, says he acted in self-defense after “Scar” Allen threatened them.
