Things just went from bad to worse for Florida rapper YNW Melly.
After his recent arrest for allegedly shooting and killing two of his friends, Melly, whose real name is Jamell Demons, is currently a suspect in the shooting death of a deputy in the Indian River County Sheriff’s Department.
Deputy Gary Chambliss was killed almost two years prior to when Melly was named as suspect in the 2017 Gifford murder. YNW Bartien aka Cartien Henry was also named as a suspect and has already been taken into custody.
A source, who remains anonymous according to Vero News, says that it was well known that both Melly and Bartien were both at the scene of the shooting.
Demons, 19, and Henry, 20, are currently in custody after the duo were indicted by a Broward County grand jury on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the shooting deaths of their two friends. Christopher Thomas Jr., 19, and Anthony Williams, 21, were shot and killed in the early hours of Oct. 26 in South Florida.
Detectives are hoping that by facing the possibility of a death sentence by lethal injection that Demons and Henry will help them uncover the death of Deputy Chambliss.
