Isreal Wusu Releases Visual For “Who’s Gonna Love Me”

In the matter of just a year, Israel Wusu has made a statewide impact, earning himself an extremely supportive fan base. Doing all this with just a five-track EP and a number of singles and features to his catalog. Wusu has proven that his artistic versatility serves as one of his best qualities.

From the introspective bars in “Catch Fire” that shine a light on his pen, to the trapsoul anatomy of “Feels.” to even the dancehall-influenced “Flowers.” Wusu’s ability to changes lanes without missing a beat is a rare quality nowadays.

Earlier this summer, Wusu dropped what would be his biggest song to date, “Who’s Gonna Love Me.” A track dedicated to his mother, the track would eventually hone in on the concept of valuing your biggest supporters. Months after the single’s release, Wusu – and the majority of his FIRSTEAM squad – returned with a cinematic effort for the track’s video.

Over its eight-minute duration, Wusu is constantly surrounded by people who have a special place in his heart – both from the past and present. Sporting an element of purity and authenticity, the short film perfectly captures the song’s concept. The short film is also an excellent output as he puts the finishing touches on his upcoming debut album.

Directed by Larry Adigun and co-directed by Larren Witter and Momo Akoiwala, the video can be found below.
