Reme the Dreme Drops an Aggressively Motivational Single

There comes a time in every artist’s life when they have to take control of their own work and how they want to do things. Oftentimes, it can become confusing for young artists to find their unique sound and style when so many other people around them want to influence their budding talent and the direction they should take their voice to. But Texas-based rapper Reme learned fairly early on that until you take the time to reflect on what you want to do and need to do to achieve the dreams you’ve set for yourself, you’ll find yourself stuck in a place where you’re not pleasing anyone, especially yourself.

“Make sure your music is where it needs to be and where you need to be personally,” he said. “That’s all that matters. And it’s a lesson I had to learn the hard way after I graduated high school in 2018 and things started taking off. It was a big wake-up moment for me, and it’s what inspired me to write the song ‘Move.’”

Reme’s new single “Move” is the latest from this fast-rising young talent. It’s a song filled with lyricism and confidence as it motivates listeners to put their minds to something and then stick to it with perseverance and grit.

“My main intention is to let people know if you can’t do it, I’ll find someone who can or someone who can help, but whatever it takes keep moving forward,” he said. “Move out of the way or move around … just move. Don’t stay stagnant. Don’t depend on anyone else for happiness. I get very aggressive on the track, but it’s intended to be a motivational aggression. I prefer to think of it as a stamp or a mark – kind of a rally call that says, ‘Yeah! We can do this!’”

Reme said the single came from a time when he found himself “in a dark place musically” and was struggling to find his own lane within the music industry. He said it felt like every day was harder than the last when it came to trying to be original and his own person. With so many people suggesting ideas and the pressure mounting, he said he eventually realized he was trying too hard and not just letting the process flow through him naturally. He began to explore versatile sounds and loved being able to create outside of a box. And out of that came his signature of fusing different sounds – whether that be Jazz with Hip Hop, or R&B with Country, or Rock with Pop … it didn’t matter, as long as his sound was “out of that box.”

“I make my music off of feeling and it’s up to the people who hear it to line it up with what they’re going through,” Reme said. “I’m trying to make soundtracks for whatever they’re doing. And as long as I got you bopping your head at the end of the day, I’ve completed the mission.”

Over the past two years, Reme has been laying down tracks with the help of his producer and engineer, E Blaze. “Move” is the latest single off a nine-track project called “Dremeland” that the two created together. It’s a project that showcases Reme’s smooth flow and carefully crafted beats that support his haunting melodies.
