For the First Time in History, Miss America, Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe are All Black Women

Congratulations to all of our Black queens!

Today dates the first time in history that black women hold the title of Miss USA, Miss America, Miss Teen USA, and Miss Universe at the same time.

Zozibini Tunzi of South Africa was crowned Miss Universe Sunday night at Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta Georgia.

“I grew up in a world where a woman who looks like me, with my kind of skin and my kind of hair, was never considered to be beautiful. I think that it is time that stops today.”

Nia Franklin of North Carolina was crowned Miss America back in September of 2018. Along to join them in the royal court would be, Cheslie Kryst and Kaleigh Garris who was crowned Miss USA and Miss Teen USA.
