YouTube influencers turned boxers, Jake Paul and AnEsonGib are also on the card. The fight between Paul and Gib will be the co-main event and continues a trend of social media stars turning boxing cash cows.

Jake Paul, 22, is the most viewed internet star in the United States with more than 36 million followers across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Twitter.

AnEsonGib, 23, is a UK YouTuber who initially came onto the scene through his humorous videos surrounding the popular video game series FIFA. Gib previously fought as an amateur.

Social Media Fight Takeover

Last November 2019, social media stars KSI (1-0) triumphed over Logan Paul (0-1) in front of a raucous crowd of 12,137 fans at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The YouTube stars previously fought in an amateur boxing match in front of a sold-out crowd in Manchester, England in August 2018. Following the majority draw, KSI and Logan Paul agreed to meet again as licensed professional boxers.

Jake made his amateur boxing debut in 2018, where he defeated KSI’s brother. Along with his brother Logan Paul, who fought KSI on DAZN in November, Jake is passionate about conquering professional boxing and has his sights set on avenging his brother’s loss against KSI in 2020.

For the fight the same rules apply, 10-ounce gloves, no headgear and both fighters will have to go through the full professional protocol.
