Veteran MMA fighter, Alistair Overeem (45-18 1NC) will face Walt Harris in a UFC Fight Night from Portland, Oregon on April 11th.
The UFC returns to the Moda Center for the first time in three years and will broadcast on ESPN+.
A heavy-handed striker, Harris (13-7 1NC) has earned all his MMA victories via knockout. His two most recent outings saw him finish both Aleksei Oleinik and Sergey Spivak in under one minute each. Harris also holds wins over Daniel Spitz and Chase Sherman. Harris now hopes to continue his rise up the division by netting the biggest win of his career.
The Birmingham, Alabama native’s return comes on the heels of a devastating tragedy that befell his family. Harris’ stepdaughter, Aniah Blanchard was kidnapped and shot to death late last year.
The man accused of the murder, Ibraheem Yazeed, is being charged with capital murder.
