Meek Mill is no longer a fan of twerking.
Philadelphia’s own took to Twitter recently to get some things off of his chest. The Grammy-nominated rapper is no longer a fan of the booty-shaking art form of twerking.
“I tired of seeing all that shit lol,” said the Philly rapper.
“Y’all burnt twerking out,” followed by a number of laughing-crying emojis.
Meek’s criticism comes shortly after our favorite Houston Hottie, Megan Thee Stallion broke the internet with a twerking tutorial to Chris Brown and Drake’s, “No Guidance” on her Instagram Live. Hot Girl Meg is one of Hip-Hop’s biggest and brightest stars. She captivated and built her audience with an unmatched effervescent personality. The Roc Nation rapper’s music, personality and twerking are well received by her fans and peers alike.
It is safe to say that Meek may be a lone ranger on this topic.
“Twerking” became a phenomenon within the culture within the origination of New Orleans bounce music in the 1980s. In 2013, twerking became the most “what is” searched word on Google.
