Area lyricist known as Troyman made his way onto the world stage in the 2019 Netflix music competition, Rhythm + Flowstarring Hip-Hop’s elite as judges; Cardi B, Chance the Rapperand T.I.
Although Troyman was a finalist, that was not his final moment in his career. As a matter of fact, it skyrocketed after the show once his Tay Keith – produced song, “Streetlights”went viral. After his performance the doors began to open for this rising star. His talent was further proven in his singles to follow, “Blessings” and his 2020 EP INSOMNIACgained momentum on streaming platforms.
Troyman’s humble beginnings rest on the foundation of his mother who passed before he released his first project, A. P. R. I. L (A Period of Infinite Life). He went through a lot with his family and his music reflects his life story. The images in his lyrics are real which leaves his fans wanting more. Publicist Lynn Hobson states, “Troyman has appeared on BET’s “Wild Out Wednesday” and he has received MTV’s Atlanta’s Best Independent Artist/Rock Your Fashion Campaign Award. His ambition to sit at the table and eat alongside his peers goes hand in hand with his desire to make good music that tells his story. Most artists don’t know how to balance the two. However, Troyman is focused. So I know I will see him on top.”
At the top of 2021, Troyman released an EP entitled, GODSPEED. Equipped with eight strong songs, Troyman’s body of work is making a mark in music that will never be erased.
