“There is no spray that can be called ‘Instant Stardom,’ only talent can keep you at the top.” – Jim Dale
Talent is the only margin that separates a successful artist from an unsuccessful one. But talent without hard work will lead no one to success. Sometimes, both hard work and talent also need a little luck to find the right opportunity to grow. The story of songwriter and recording artist Stefan Morales, popularly known as Seno, exemplifies this. The music artist reached rock bottom in his career just when his talent started earning him much-deserved recognition in the industry.
Seno is a music artist and songwriter of Texan origin born and brought up in Florida. From a very young age, he found his passion for music but never really thought of pursuing it as a career. During his college days, he found a group of like-minded friends who shared a similar passion for music, which helped him decide to chase his passion. Seno, along with his friends Slyte, Dominic Fike, and Ike Lysergic, formed a band. They used Seno’s guest house for rehearsals and practice. The band was named Backhouse and eventually attracted a few more talented artists like Matt Black and Alex Fike.
As Backhouse started growing in the Florida music scene, the members expanded their reach by including a group of associates: Contradash, Nate Traveller, and Terry Prism. This closely-knit band of young talents shared a strong bond and considered each other brothers rather than band members. This collective’s joint efforts took the band to many popular festivals and stages to perform live. During this time, Seno was able to hone his craft and identify his unique signature style. He shifted his forte from Texan rap to a more melodic version that garnered him a hugely positive response from the audience.
In 2016, Seno dropped his debut album Stories, which further scaled up his career as an artist. He became a well-known face in the industry as offers started pouring in from various labels. Just when Seno thought his career would reach a new height, he got involved in an illegal firearms allegation that ended in a five-year plea where Seno spent one year in county jail and four years on probation. The experience turned his career upside down, stalling it for five years when it was supposed to be at its peak.
Thankfully, after the end of his five-year term, Seno had not lost hope and started pursuing his passion for music with renewed energy. He got in touch with his friends from Backhouse, who were more than happy to work with him again. This further kick-started his career from the point it had stalled. Seno’s performances were recognized by several big labels, flooding him with offers to work on different projects.
Seno currently has no new releases, but he has some killer projects in the pipeline. He is highly optimistic about his upcoming projects and believes they will enthrall his fans like never before. Going forward, Seno wants to return to the stage to perform live in front of thousands, cheering them on and making them move to his beats.
