Based in South Carolina, rising hip hop artist Jeri Newton has been making a consistent rise in the underground hip hop scene.
Jeri Newton aims to turn his pain into positive energy. The artist wears his emotions on his sleeve and isn’t afraid to be authentic in his music.
The creative opened up 2022 with a 9-song album titled ‘Draft Day’ which explored his recent struggles, thoughts, and new perspectives on life. The artist lost his mother last year and the pain has only encouraged him to go harder in his career.
Jeri Newton’s next move is to release another follow-up album this summer. The project will be called ‘Newtonland 2’ and will focus on taking the listener through a journey of different emotions including the feelings of loss and the glory of finding yourself again and becoming stronger through the process. The creative claimed the work as his “best yet”.
