I decided to take a break from the hustle with my 7-year old daughter Felicity for a bonding trip where we could relish in the lap of luxury. As we drove up to the palm-tree lined property we were enamored from the moment we stepped into the crystal-themed wall lined lobby. We were soon immersed in a world where attention to detail and indulgence are paramount. Our one-bedroom suite faced the ocean with a balcony and the most unique welcome amenities created by the on-site pastry chefs. The suite included a spacious living room and a chic yet modern bathroom that included a television in the mirror.
A Kids Club Reimagined
Instead of spending hours searching through South Beach reviews for activities, Loews created a schedule fit for kids of all ages. Loews’ SoBe Kids Club offers imaginative experiences ranging from themed kids club activities to theatrical performances, pop-up planetarium shows, and STEM activities. We really enjoyed eating popcorn while watching Movies Under the Stars, the Neon Nights parties, treats at the poolside Sweet Corner, and our favorite–a guided photography class for kids. Focal Point Experience leads this creative photography class that allows kids to capture memories around the hotel in a unique way.
Poolside Pizazz
The heart of the resort, the iconic pool deck, is a slice of paradise where South Beach dreams come alive. Imagine spending sun-kissed hours under the open sky while sipping on mango mocktails. At Nautilus Restaurant & Bar, revel in the Islamorada Fish Tacos, accompanied by tomatillo salsa. And at Bar Collins, young diners can choose from a variety of Empanadas with mouthwatering fillings. Felicity ordered rainbow sushi and branzino and danced with each and every bite. She even asked for more of my fried eggplant which was a fusion of tantalizing spices.
Understanding the importance of quality and flavor for guests of all ages, Loews Miami Beach Hotel has partnered with Little Spoon, a leader in Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) kids’ food. Two of Little Spoon’s most popular pureed meals, including Spinach, Mango, Banana, Hemp, and Kale, Avocado, Apple, Chia, are available at Miami Joe Coffee Co., located at both properties. This partnership ensures that even the youngest travelers can enjoy high-quality meals during their stay.
Pampering and Relaxation
While Felicity made pizza during cooking class and decorated sugar cookies at the Kids Club, I searched for moments of pampering and rejuvenation at the Sea Spa. From soothing treatments to calming massages, Sea Spa + Fitness is a sanctuary of relaxation. The ‘Mommy and Me Yoga Class’ was another highlight of our trip where mommy and child can unwind side by side. And for an extra touch of luxury, we spent the day at SOAK Cabanas & Daybeds which offers VIP treatment that lets you both indulge in comfort and exclusivity. Our private cabana came complete with a butler, air conditioning to escape the heat, a flatscreen television and private shower ensuring you don’t have to leave. Views from the cabana rooftop create the perfect backdrop for photographic moments. Our dining experience at SOAK was nothing short of amazing as we dined on whole grilled snapper and lobster rolls in our private secluded poolside cabana. This is an add-on that you’ll wonder how you ever survived without it!
