SEE IT: Ye Annoyed That Kendrick Is On Playboi Carti’s New Album: “I DON’T LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC”

Kanye West, also known as Ye–sheesh, do we have to say that forever?–voiced his clear frustration, almost annoyance with Kendrick Lamar’s significant presence on Playboi Carti’s highly anticipated 30-track album.

Gotta love Ye. He never ever shows his cards until he slams them on the table like an Uno reverse, ha!

“I DON’T LIKE KENDRICK LAMARS MUSIC,” Ye posted on X, seemingly irritated. “HE RAPS VERY GOOD BUT I DIDNT NEED TO HEAR HIM ON CARTI ALBUM.”

This is funny. On so many levels.

The embattled Yeezy honcho’s comments come just a month after he acknowledged Lamar’s undeniable talent in a conversation about rap battles. “If you rap against Kendrick, you will lose,” Ye told Justin LaBoy during an interview on The Download. “This man does this. You know, in Street Fighter, you get Chun-Li, you get a certain kick, and no matter what, you can’t beat that thing?”

Contradiction, much?

Ye went on to elaborate, saying, “If you rap against Kendrick Lamar, like Joe Budden said, ‘Never rap against Kendrick Lamar.’ If you rap against Kendrick Lamar, it’s a difficult task, but perhaps it’s something … I’m a psycho genius, so you know, it could be.”

LOL.

Anyways, onto the usual industry pandering … Playboi Carti’s latest album features Kendrick Lamar on three tracks: “Good Credit,” “Mojo Jojo,” and “Backdoor,” the latter of which was produced by Ye himself. Despite these collaborations, it appears Ye has mixed feelings about Kendrick’s involvement.

ICYMI, this isn’t the first time Ye has commented on Kendrick Lamar in recent months. Following the Super Bowl LIX Halftime Show, he expressed his admiration for Kendrick’s performance, calling it one of his favorites since the Michael Jackson era. Ye also praised Lamar’s lyrical prowess during his battle with Drake, referring to it as a “take down” of his own rival.

“He took down my nemesis for me,” Ye said at the time. A few days later, Ye made headlines again by claiming he actually “loves” Drake and would even like the Toronto artist to speak at his funeral. Ye’s ever-shifting opinions on both artists have certainly sparked much conversation, especially as fans and critics alike continue to analyze Kendrick’s lyrics from the album, with some speculating possible subtle references to Drake.

This is all wrestling. Gotta be. WWE caliber storylines. No other way to describe Hip Hop right now.
