Ye, recently found himself yet again in a public feud spilling out all over socials with ex-wife Kim Kardashian, in part, over a new song that features their daughter, North West.
The unexpected yet obscure track, also includes what appears to be the voice of Sean “Diddy” Combs and a feature by Diddy’s son, Christian “King” Combs. Obviously due to the circumstances Diddy is in, the collab has raised eyebrows, leading to a heated argument between the former couple because well, North is on a track with a man accused of crimes among other accusations.
Get this, as reported by our friends at TMZ, the so called song emerged after North visited the studio with Ye — marking the first time in weeks that he had seen any of his children.
What’s more, while there, the 11-year-old recorded vocals, they were later added into the track, featuring Diddy. Yikes.
Decision quality, anyone?
Allegedly, Ye told his daughter he would debut the song at his upcoming Sunday Service.
So Diddy, North West and an adjacent church service. Got it.
Onto the track. It’s titled “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” was shared by Ye on X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday (March 15).
Now enters Kim Kardashian. The mogul and ex wife of Ye, reportedly sought legal action to prevent its release. In the song, North can be heard rapping the line, “When you see me shining, then you see the light.”

But there’s receipts …
TMZ later reported how the drama intensified when Ye shared a screenshot of a text exchange with Kardashian, which was later deleted. According to the message, Ye expressed his anger at Kardashian for trademarking their daughter’s name. He wrote, “I’m never speaking with you again,” as per their report.
Kardashian’s response to the message seemed to address the trademark issue: “I asked you at the time if I can trademark her name. You said yes. When she’s 18, it goes to her. So stop.” She further explained, “I sent paperwork over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song to protect her,” adding, “One person has to trademark!”
Seems like a lot of business wrapped in with personal family tension based on Ye’s actions and Kim’s adverse reactions to the involvement of their daughter. Just an inference.
Anyway, she reminded Ye that they had previously agreed she would trademark all their children’s names to prevent others from taking them. Ye fired back, “Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout.” In a final statement, he added, “You’re going to have to kill me.”
Per TMZ, sources familiar with the situation confirmed Kardashian’s claims, stating that she had sent paperwork to Ye, as well as letters demanding a cease and desist. She even arranged an emergency mediation session with a mediator and a judge. However, Ye reportedly did not attend, though he allegedly promised not to release the track.
Ugly times for Ye and Kim.
