Jonathan Majors Shines at ‘Magazine Dreams’ Screening in Los Angeles, Earning Praise for His Powerful Performance

Jonathan Majors is gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated new film Magazine Dreams, and recently, he showcased his captivating performance at a special screening in Los Angeles. On March 17, Majors, alongside director-writer Elijah Bynum, hosted the event at The London Hotel. A host of notable personalities attended the screening, including Majors’ fiancée Meagan Good, actor David Oyelowo, Briarcliff Entertainment CEO Tom Ortenberg, Jesse Metcalfe, Michael Jai White, and co-star Mike O’Hearn.

At the event, O’Hearn shared his enthusiasm for the film, saying, “Fun night with my friend Jonathan Majors and the lead of ‘Magazine Dreams’ which I believe will be nominated for Best Movie and Jonathan with a best leading man of 2025. So proud to be part of this movie. It’ll be a movie that will live on for decades.”

Though reports from the event are sparse, David Oyelowo moderated a panel discussion, which added to the excitement surrounding the film.

Tom Ortenberg, CEO of Briarcliff Entertainment, previously shared his thoughts with Variety, highlighting Majors’ remarkable performance. “Elijah’s film made a well-deserved splash… Jonathan Majors’ transcendent performance as Killian Maddox will undoubtedly be remembered as one of the most compelling and transformative roles in recent cinema history. We are honored to bring this extraordinary work to theaters nationwide, inviting audiences to witness a story that will resonate long after the credits roll.”

In Magazine Dreams, Majors portrays Killian Maddox, a driven individual consumed by the ambition of becoming a renowned bodybuilder. In a powerful line from the trailer, Killian says, “You have to do something big and important, or no one will remember you when you’re dead.” The film’s official synopsis delves deeper into his character, describing how he “battles both the limits of his physical body and his own inner demons” while striving to achieve recognition in a world that often overlooks him.

The film also stars Harrison Page, Taylour Paige, and Haley Bennett. Magazine Dreams will be released in theaters on March 21.
