Bronx rapper Kevin Perez, better known as Kay Flock, has been found guilty on multiple criminal charges, including attempted murder, racketeering conspiracy, use of a firearm resulting in death, and assault with a deadly weapon in aid of racketeering. The charges stem from a series of violent incidents that took place between June 2020 and February 2022.
In December 2021, Kay Flock was implicated in the fatal shooting of Hwascar Hernandez, a Harlem native. While Perez was found not guilty of murder in aid of racketeering, he was convicted on other serious charges that could result in a life sentence.
Throughout the trial, prosecutors introduced Kay Flock’s music, lyrics, and videos as evidence, arguing they demonstrated his involvement in gang-related activities.
Currently incarcerated, Kay Flock is awaiting sentencing, which is scheduled for July 16.
