Maui Police Chief To Keep His Position Despite Being Named As Co-Conspirator In Diddy Lawsuit

Earlier this month, Hip Hop mogul Diddy was hit with a new lawsuit filed by Ashley Parham, who accuses the Bad Boy founder and others of violently gang raping her in 2018. Alongside Diddy, several other high-profile individuals were named as co-conspirators, including comedian Druski and NFL star Odell Beckham Jr. Notably, Maui Police Chief John Pelletier was also named in the suit, with accusations that he played a role in covering up the alleged crime.

Pelletier quickly denied the allegations, maintaining his innocence in an interview with TMZ.

“I have no connections whatsoever to any individuals named in the lawsuit,” Pelletier stated. “The allegations suggesting his involvement are entirely unfounded. I am confident that the evidence will demonstrate these claims to be false and will expose those who are deliberately trying to manipulate the legal system to spread misleading narratives.”

Despite the severity of the allegations, AllHipHop reports that Pelletier will be allowed to keep his position for now. The Maui Police Commission voted unanimously to retain him as the chief following Mayor Richard Bissen’s recommendation to place Pelletier on administrative leave pending further investigation.

As for Diddy, the music mogul remains incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, facing charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering. His trial is scheduled to begin in May. In addition to his criminal case, Diddy is embroiled in multiple lawsuits. Several individuals have come forward with accusations of sexual assault, abuse, and more. Diddy has consistently denied all allegations, acknowledging only a 2016 assault incident involving his ex-girlfriend Cassie, which was caught on video.

The legal battles surrounding Diddy, Pelletier, and others continue to unfold, and it remains to be seen how these cases will develop in the coming months.
