An OnlyFans model accused of killing a man during a BDSM roleplay session is facing murder charges, with authorities revealing details that contrast starkly with the public image she maintained online.
Michaela Rylaarsdam, a wife, mother of three, and adult entertainer, was arrested in February and charged with murder after allegedly suffocating a man who hired her for a BDSM session in Escondido, California. Authorities say the victim, Michael Dale, paid Rylaarsdam more than $11,000 to visit his home in April 2023 and perform fetish acts.
According to police, Rylaarsdam went by the name Asshley SinCal on OnlyFans, TikTok, and X, where she marketed herself as a seasoned sex worker. However, her public Instagram account presented a drastically different image—featuring family-oriented posts with her husband, Brandon Rylaarsdam, and their three children.
Investigators say Dale found Rylaarsdam through an escort advertisement and arranged the BDSM session. Upon arriving at his San Diego-area home around 6 PM, she allegedly noticed that Dale appeared intoxicated but proceeded with the session. Authorities claim she spent several hours performing various fetish acts, including wrapping Dale in Saran Wrap “like a mummy” and gluing women’s boots to his feet.
At some point during the session, Dale was suffocated with a plastic bag, Saran Wrap, and duct tape sealed around his head. Police allege that Rylaarsdam sat by and filmed content with a vibrator while Dale suffocated to death. Law enforcement has found no evidence that Dale ever requested the suffocation.
Following the incident, Rylaarsdam reportedly called 911 and told officers it was her first time engaging in BDSM. She has since pleaded not guilty to the murder charge.
Beyond her online personas, Rylaarsdam and her husband were involved in the adult entertainment business through their company, SinCal Entertainment. The business promoted strippers and topless bartenders for hire, branding itself as the top adult party service in California. On their website, Rylaarsdam claimed she started the business after “locking herself in her son’s nursery” and deciding to leave other adult entertainment agencies.
As the case unfolds, authorities continue to piece together the events leading up to Dale’s death while Rylaarsdam remains in custody, facing serious legal consequences.
