Yella Beezy Bond Set At $2 Million In Capital Murder Case

Dallas rapper Yella Beezy is facing serious legal trouble after being indicted for capital murder for remuneration in connection with the 2020 killing of fellow artist MO3. A judge has set his bond at $2 million following the indictment.

According to a grand jury indictment, Beezy, whose real name is Markies Conway, is accused of hiring Kewon White to carry out the murder of Melvin Noble, known as MO3. Noble was shot and killed in broad daylight on Interstate 35 in Dallas. Prosecutors allege that Conway “intentionally and knowingly” orchestrated the killing by paying White to commit the crime.

White, who was initially arrested in Dec. 2020, is already serving a nine-year federal sentence for firearm possession as a convicted felon. He has also been charged with MO3’s murder.

Conway’s legal team has not yet stated the charges. Meanwhile, the Dallas County District Attorney’s Office and the Dallas Police Department have declined to comment, citing the ongoing investigation.

This is not Yella Beezy’s first brush with the law. While he previously faced charges for weapon possession, sexual assault, and child endangerment, court records indicate that those charges were ultimately dismissed.

Beezy first rose to fame with his hit single “That’s on Me” and collaborated with artists like Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Gucci Mane, and Young Thug. He also gained recognition as an opening act for Beyoncé and Jay-Z on their On the Run II Tour.

MO3, known for his 2019 hit “Errybody” and the posthumous single “Outside,” was regarded as one of Dallas’ most promising hip-hop voices before his tragic death in 2020.

As the legal process unfolds, the case continues to draw attention, leaving fans and the Dallas music community awaiting further developments.
