[WATCH] Luce Cannon Claims Meek Mill Was Held Hostage By Crips In L.A., Asked Rick Ross To Pay $50K Ransom

Meek Mill was allegedly held hostage by Los Angeles Crips and had to be bailed out by Rick Ross for $50,000, according to resurfaced claims made by gang member Luce Cannon.

In a previously recorded interview on Akademiks’ Off the Record podcast, Cannon claimed the incident took place at an L.A. nightclub in response to Meek “talking real reckless on Twitter.”

“We caught him at the club where he was performing,” Cannon recalled. “As soon as he walked in, all of his security spun around. I grabbed him like, ‘Bro, wassup?’ I said, ‘Get on the phone with Ross.’”

Cannon alleged that he and his crew took Meek outside and demanded $50,000 in cash from Ross for his release. When asked if Meek would have been “in the trunk” had Ross not paid, Cannon responded, “Yeah, of course.”

Despite admitting they “took the money,” Cannon denied that the situation was extortion. “We needed that bag. He didn’t owe no money; we took the money. It’s not extortion […] it was just a business transaction.”

Cannon also suggested that the incident ultimately strengthened Meek’s friendship with L.A. native and fellow Rollin’ 60s member Nipsey Hussle, indicating that it happened several years ago.

“That’s why Meek and Nipsey became cool after that situation,” Cannon explained. “They started using the same PR. Meek got smart and started hitting Nipsey up, and that’s why the Big U feud kept going with Nipsey.”
