Here’s something inspiring to take in. Star actress Regina Hall is set to return to Fordham University, where she will be honored with an honorary doctorate of fine arts during this year’s commencement ceremony. The university announced that Hall, a distinguished alumna, will address the Class of 2025 on May 17 in recognition of her outstanding career and dedication to meaningful causes.
Fordham President Tania Tetlow praised Hall as an exemplary figure who embodies the university’s values.

“Regina is an inspiring role model who will show our graduates what it looks like to live out our Jesuit values,” said Tetlow. “Her remarkable talent, strong work ethic, and unwavering commitment to justice make her the ideal speaker for our commencement ceremony. We’re thrilled to honor her.”
If you are not aware, beyond her success in film and television, Hall has been deeply involved in philanthropy, supporting organizations such as the American Red Cross, Ronald McDonald House, Habitat for Humanity, Smiles for Speech, Solutions Project, and Just Like My Child.
“Regina’s dedication to advocacy embodies the principles we hold dear at Fordham,” President Tetlow added. “We can’t wait to welcome her back to campus.”
What’s more, Hall’s advocacy work took on a personal dimension after her mother was diagnosed with scleroderma, a rare autoimmune disorder, in 2006. Since then, Hall has become a vocal supporter of scleroderma research and now serves on the Board of Directors for the Scleroderma Research Foundation.
