An unexpected and violent moment disrupted Lil Scrappy’s recent performance in Columbus, Ohio, after a man attempted to rush the stage and was aggressively pushed off, sparking a police investigation.
According to Sgt. James Fuqua of the Columbus Police Department was not initially informed of the incident. However, after footage of the altercation surfaced online, investigators have begun reviewing the video to assess what transpired.
The altercation took place during Day 2 of the SUMMER614 “Where Music is Therapy” Festival, where Lil Scrappy was one of the featured performers. In the video, an unidentified man is seen approaching from the side of the stage, climbing onto a speaker, and attempting to get onstage. Before he could make it, another man, whose role is currently unclear, violently shoved him off the platform.
The impact appeared severe, with the man falling hard onto the pavement and remaining motionless for the rest of the clip. Witnesses at the scene claimed the man began bleeding from his head and lay unconscious for several minutes.
Lil Scrappy halted his performance upon noticing the severity of the situation.
It remains uncertain whether the individual who pushed the man was part of Scrappy’s security detail. Sgt. Fuqua noted that unless the injured party comes forward to file a formal complaint, no criminal charges are expected to be filed.
