Cardi B is once again under legal fire, and this time over the infamous mic-throwing moment that went viral during her 2023 performance in Las Vegas.
According to a new report from TMZ, an unnamed woman has filed a lawsuit against the Bronx rapper, accusing her of assault and battery after allegedly being struck by a microphone thrown by Cardi during the show. The incident occurred after Cardi reportedly asked fans to splash her with water to cool her off in the scorching Vegas heat. Things took a turn when someone near the woman complied — prompting Cardi to hurl her mic into the crowd in response.
At the time, Las Vegas police launched an investigation but ultimately declined to pursue any criminal charges. Footage of the moment quickly circulated across social media, sparking debate among fans about whether Cardi overreacted or was simply caught off guard.
This latest legal drama comes as Cardi gears up to release her long-awaited sophomore album, Am I The Drama?, due out Sept. 19. The album will be her first full-length project since her Grammy-winning debut, Invasion of Privacy, was released in 2018.
